Ecton Mines surface features.

The copper mines of Ecton are on the border between Staffordshire and Derbyshire in the Manifold Valley. They once produced considerable amounts of copper ore for the Devonshire family of Chatsworth. Apart from the shafts there is very little left of the surface buildings, the underground workings that are not flooded are quite extensive.
